Well, id thought id give my thoughts and impressions of my return to BKK after 1 years absence, the longest I have been away from LOS(Land of Smiles) in the past 5 years.

Flight
Emirates about 500 pounds from Gatwick, change at Dubai about 3 hour stopover. Got to check in early and managed to get exits seats for both legs of the journey. But, to left of me was a big fat bastard who spilled over into my seat and to the right a crying baby. Arrived at the new airport, you are now expected to show your boarding card when stepping off the plane and at passport control - so dont throw it away. Official taxi stands all over the airport, queried them about a taxi to sukhumvit - 1000bht - nice car. Not interested, you have to go downstairs to ground floor and outside to get standard yellow taxi for 400bht. Same journey time to centre of BKK(Bangkok) arrived at the Manhattan on soi 15.

Well returned to Bangkok from Kuala Lumpur(KL). God it is much hotter here and the streets so narrow compared to KL.
