Pattaya, Another Day

Travel Plans
Well today I went into a local travel agent along soi Buakaow to see the best they could do for a flight to Jakarta. The best they muster was with Garuda around 11,000 baht return leaving around 2:30am from Bangkok. Not good enough. Another option was trekking over to Ko Chang, White Sands, looking at the accommodation, the cheapest the travel agents could come up with was 1700 baht a night.

Well I left there and went into a local internet cafe for a bit of DIY travel planning. AirAsia just under 7000b leaving in the evening. Still tempted...

Bad News
While considering this I logged into my MSN messenger and Pan, one of my old Thai girlfriends was online and told me my friends wife died last night. Shit! She did not think my friend knew and for me to ring him up and tell him the bad news.

Around Pattaya there is so much quantity but it can be hard to find quality. If you do find quality you know you cannot get too close, not me, not anymore. The next day I just try to relax on the beach, which can be hard in Pattaya, lots of noise pollution there including - pissed up farangs, groups of Thais with their loud shrills, hassled by beach peddlars every two minutes and boats constantly coming and going. Not exactly a palm fringed paradise.
